Buster Rewis Obituary

Buster Lee Rewis, 70, of Cobbtown passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia.

Born in Cobbtown, he was a son of Rufus and Minnie Crabbe Rewis.  Mr. Rewis was a retired Lumper having worked for Premier Warhousing Services and Piggly Wiggly and was of the Church of God faith.  He loved to fish, work, and socialize and his family was very dear to him.  Mr. Rewis was an avid NASCAR fan and loved hot wings.  He was preceded in death by a son, Travis Leon Rewis.

Surviving are his two daughters, Kandi Rewis of Cobbtown and Gidgett Rewis of Reidsville; a son, Bruce Lee Rewis of Cobbtown; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Theron Rewis of Savannah and Earl Rewis and Sandy of Savannah; his sister, Edith Diane Bonnett of Vidalia; eight grandchildren, Michelle Leeanna Cox, Billy Joe Cox, Kaley Rewis, Kayla Rewis, Benjamin Rewis, Travis Rewis, Paige Hattaway, and Carley Hattaway; three great-grandchildren, DeWayne Allen Palle, Luna Leeanna Gardner, and Nova Lee Dawn Gardner; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 unitl 8 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel.

Interment will follow in Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
