Curtis Dewayne Beckum

Curtis Dewayne Beckum, 49, of Aline and husband of Dorothy Mae Sherrod Beckum, died Monday, August 28, 2017 in Charleston, SC.

Born in Vidalia he was a son of Robert LeRoy Beckum and Margaret Judy Hadden Beasley.  Curtis was a Baptist and a Construction Foreman for Harcon Construction Company.  He enjoyed his work and spending time with his family as well as Cooking and Gardening.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Beckum was preceded in death by a grandson, Grant Hill.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Mae Sherrod Beckum; two sons, Trevor Beckum of Aline, and Sean Beckum of Oak Park; Three daughters, Cassie Beckum of Aline, Brooke Beckum of Stillmore, and Brittany Hill (Gregory) of Adrian; a step-son, Hunter Scarboro; two brothers, Cameron Beasley (Catina) of Stillmore and Robbie Beckum (Tabitha) of Aline; his sister, Claudia Tankersly (Tony) of Soperton; a grandson, Grayson Hill, his step-mother, Kathy Beecher and his step-father, Junior Beasley (Carmen); and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Friday, September 1, 2017 at 11 a.m. Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel.

Interment will follow in Stillmore City Cemetery.
