Harriet Futch Tapley, 62, of Nevils, died Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Candler Hospital in Savannah.
Harriet was born in Savannah and lived most of her life in the Nevils area. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was a retired substitute teacher for Bulloch County Schools. Harriet enjoyed cooking, fishing, and watching professional wrestling. She was preceded in death by her father, C.L. Futch, her mother, Carrie Todd Woods, her step-father, Kenneth Woods, and a nephew, Joshua J. Lee.
Surviving are her son, Corey Tapley; step-mother, Peggy Futch of Nevils; her grandson, Justin Register; a brother, Lee Futch of Savannah; five sisters, Elizabeth Brisson of Savannah, Sue Anderson (Derrell) of Nevils, Sandy Blake (Steve) of Nevils, Meg Stark of Washington, and Cheryll Pricher of St. Petersburg, Florida.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel. Visitation will be held from 1 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home on Sunday.
Interment will be at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Lee, Jarrod Lee, Ricky Canady, Patrick Register, Timothy Thompson, Hunter Canady, Randy Morris, and John Infantis.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Lee Futch, Jerimie Scheider, Derrell Anderson, Joey Hurst, and Logan Deal.
Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
