James “Jimbo” Raleigh Clark, husband of Jean Warren Clark died early Saturday, April 15, 2017 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro.

Born in Stilson, He was the son of Raleigh and Leila May Smith Clark.  Mr. Clark was a member of New Life Baptist Church of Metter.  He graduated Brooklet High School in 1955 and during his time in Brooklet, he worked at his grandparent’s Theatre running the projector.  He later joined the United States Air Force.  Mr. Clark was a retired truck driver and loved fishing and being around people.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Earl Lee Clark, two brothers, Earl L. Clark and Alexander Clark, and a sister, Nan Ruth Cribbs.

Surviving are his wife, Etta Jean Warren Clark of Twin City; a daughter, Sherry Magdlean Clark of Twin City; a grandchild, Danielle Jones of Rutherfordton, North Carolina; a great-grandchild, Finn Sebastian Jones of Rutherfordton, North Carolina; a sister, Martha Lee Williams of Statesboro; and several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral service will be held at 3 o’clock, Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at New Life Baptist Church in Metter.

Visitation will be held from 1 o’clock until the funeral hour at the church on Wednesday.
