Joy Brantley Olliff

Joy Brantley Olliff passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Metter. Ms. Olliff was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie Beatrice and Lucian James Brantley. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. 

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Jim Frank Olliff; her five children; Beth (John) Young of Eatonton, Lamar (Anne) Olliff of Lakeland, Florida, Robert Olliff of Savannah, Kenny (Connie) Olliff of Kennesaw and Danny (Brenda) Olliff of Metter. She also has twelve grandchildren: Kimberly Young Phillips, Kristopher Young, Jenni Olliff Brinson, Julie Olliff, Rainey and Hannah Olliff, Shannon Olliff, Claudia Olliff Montford, Ramsee Olliff Fields, Emily Olliff Register, Danielle Olliff and Natalie Olliff Turner. Her legacy is also continued through 19 great grandchildren.  

Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 o’clock on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel.

The funeral will be held Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11 o’clock in the morning at Metter First Baptist Church.  The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Interment will follow in Lake Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kristopher Young, Shannon Olliff, Dusty Montford, Westin Fields, Jeff Register, and Clint Turner.

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Naomi-Esther Sunday School Class.
