Linda Deal Jordan

Linda Deal Jordan,70, of Metter died Monday, October 3, 2016 at her residence. 

Born in Bulloch County, she was the daughter of Albert Deal and Ida Smith Deal.  Mrs. Jordan lived in Lyons for twenty-six years and was a member of the Lyon United Methodist Church before moving to Metter fourteen years ago.  During her time in Lyons, she was the president of the Lyons Garden Club.  She was currently a member of Metter United Methodist Church and worked at Cedar Plantation, was a sitter for several families in the area, and in years past owned and operated her own Catering Business.

Surviving are her daughter, Angie Oglesby of Lyons; her son, Allen Oglesby of Lyons; step-sons, Jim (Betty) Jordan of Fort Pierce, FL and Mike Jordan of Lyons; step-daughter, Debbie Jordan of Lyons a brother, Jackie Deal of the Atlanta area; a sister, Barbara Sparks of Kingsland, GA; her grandchildren, Anniston Oglesby-Bonnette, Kayla and Dylan Oglesby, Austin Ambrose, Brittney Olson, Jimmy, Jaime, Mallory, Morgan and Blaine Jordan, and Tripp Hughes; Great grandchildren, Kysa and Ashton Wetmiller, Easton Olson and Juston Jordan; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

The funeral for Mrs. Jordan will be held Sunday at 1 o’clock in the afternoon in the chapel of Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel.

Interment will be in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Bulloch County.
