Charles "Raymond" Lynn

Charles “Raymond” Lynn, 70, of Collins died early Monday, January 13, 2020 at Tattnall Healthcare Center in Reidsville.

Born in Reidsville, he was a son of James Matthew Lynn and Ruby Carter Lynn.  Raymond grew up in Collins where he lived most of his life and attended Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church.  Raymond enjoyed spending time at his place in Midway near the coast.  He was previously a guard with the Georgia State Prison System and was a veteran, having served in the United States Air Force.  Raymond loved to fish, hunt, crabbing, and he loved to read and play bingo.

Surviving are two sons, Michael Raymond Lynn and his wife, Tracy of Collins and Christopher Scott Lynn and his wife, Betsy of Claxton; two sisters, Barbara Williams of Collins and Janice Jarriel and her husband, Wallace of Collins; two brothers, James Lynn and his wife, Sue of Collins and Bart Lynn of Collins; grandchildren, Tyler Lynn, Raleigh Lynn, Cayla Bradley, Cadence Lynn and Cassidi Lynn; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held 4 o’clock Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel. 

The family will receive friends from 3 o’clock until the funeral hour at the funeral home on Wednesday.

Interment will be in Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
