Myra Williams Holloway, 97, of Metter died Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Azalea Health and Rehabilitation in Metter.
Mrs. Holloway was born in Metter and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of the Metter Presbyterian Church and was a retired cosmetologist having owned My-La Beauty Shop. Mrs. Holloway loved to cook and her house was known as the central location for her family to gather. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis Holloway, two brothers, Guy Williams and Roy Williams and three sisters, Ila Howard, Martha Lanier, and Pauline Williams.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Robert Louis and Jeanette Holloway of Pooler; two sisters, Jewell Brannen of Atlanta and Mary Courson of Florida; two grandchildren, Robert Holloway and Jeffrey Holloway both of Pooler; and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Friday, August 9, 2019 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Interment will be in Lake Cemetery.
