Claudia Thompson Smith, 90, of Richmond Hill and widow of Clebourne L. Smith, died Sunday evening at Candler County Hospital in Metter.
Born in Fitzgerald, Georgia, she was a daughter of Liga Thompson and Tensie S. Wilds. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and lived in Richmond Hill for over sixty years before moving to Metter several months ago. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Richmond Hill and was a good cook, grandmother, and mother. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Van Smith, a granddaughter, Casey Camp, and two brothers and a sister.
Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Belinda S. and Terry Skinner of Collins, Pam and Jimmy Sommers of Reidsville, and Sandra Saxon of Fleming; a son and daughter-in-law, Derrick and Melissa Smith of Richmond Hill; fifteen grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 12 noon at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel with Rev. Brian Cooper officiating.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 12 noon at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel.
Interment will be in the Sims-Warren Cemetery.
