Connie Sue Robertson

Connie Sue “Smiley” Robertson, a beloved member of the Metter community, passed away on September 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 18, 1962, in Statesboro, Connie was 64 years old at the time of her passing.

Connie was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Robertson; her cherished daughters, Jennifer Thompson (David) and Emily Newman (Zachary); her step-daughter Amanda Robertson and bonus daughter Elaina Beckum. She was a proud grandmother to Daughtry and Charlie Thompson. Connie is also survived by her mother, Cletis Powell Bradley, her brother, Timothy Bradley, and sisters, Pam Palmer (Rusty) and Janet Kearney. Her best friend, Anna McBride, who was like a sister to her, mourns her passing deeply. Connie leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.

Connie was preceded in death by her father, Charles Bradley.

Connie graduated from Claxton High School and went on to dedicate her career to nurturing others as an employee at Kids World Daycare and welcoming customers as a devoted team member at Food World grocery store.

A woman of the Baptist faith, Connie found joy in simple pleasures—watching Georgia Southern Athletics and cheering on the Atlanta Braves, cherishing every moment spent with her beloved children and grandchildren, and uplifting others with her unwavering faith and love for music. Her generous spirit and genuine kindness endeared her to many, as she always put others first and would do anything to lend a helping hand.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Connie's life at a graveside service to be held at Sunlight Cemetery on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 11 AM. A visitation will take place on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 3-5 PM at Anderson-Newman Funeral Homes, Kennedy-Cobbtown Chapel.
