David M Cherry

David Martin Cherry, 73, of Metter and formerly of Athens, passed away, Saturday, July 4, 2020 in Metter.

Born in Athens, He was a son of Clarence Edward Cherry and Serena Martin Cherry. Mr. Cherry was a retired brick mason having been an independent contractor. He was of the Baptist faith and loved listening to music. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Bonnie Majka and a brother, Douglas Cherry.

Surviving are a brother, Wayne Cherry; and several nieces and nephews including his caretaker, Patrick Majka.

The graveside service will be held Tuesday at Evergreen Memorial Park in Athens, Georgia.

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel of Metter, is in charge of the arrangements.
