David M. Fordham

David M. Fordham, age 73 of Metter, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and family.

David was born in Collins and was one of ten kids. He lived most of his life in Metter and was a carpenter and roofer.

David was preceded in death by his father, Frank Fordham; mother, Mary Lou Fordham; brother, Randy Fordham; and a sister, Frankie Fordham Mikell.

David was survived by his wife of forty six years, Renee Lanier Fordham; three children, David Fordham (Grace) of Metter, Danny Fordham (Selena) of Soperton, and Mary Fordham of Metter; his grandkids, Rebecca, Sara, Gavin, Devin, Daniel, and Luke and two bonus grandkids, Maddux and Zoe; his sisters, Paulet Carpenter (Joe), Connie, Peggie Fordham, and Melody Flynt (Ken); his brothers, Jimmy Fordham, Rusell Fordham (Mary) and Joey Fordham; and several nieces and nephews.

The graveside service will be held at 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, in Lake Cemetery with Chaplain Lonnie Johnson officiating.

The family will receive friends at the The Pondhouse Restaurant immediately following the service.

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
