David Gorham

David Wayne Gorham, of Statesboro and formerly of Metter, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026.

David was born in Douglas, Georgia, and lived in Metter for many years. He married his wife, Vickie, in 1982, and together they made their home in Metter for decades. David and Vickie were instrumental in the startup of several churches in and around Metter and the surrounding communities.

David and his wife were also business owners, having owned and operated Under the Boardwalk and One Stop Graphics. After retiring, they moved to Florida, where they lived for several years before returning to the area and settling in Statesboro in 2024.

He is survived by his loving wife, Vickie Gorham of Statesboro; his children, Zoey Gorham Marsh (John) and Kelly Ambrose (Chris), Travis Aldrich (Laura) and Chris Aldrich (Vikie); a sister, Jackie Flanders (Lamar); brothers, Andy Gorham (Robin) and Earle Stramoski (Pat); grandchildren, Jamie Murdock, Drew Brown, Thomas Aldrich (Bailey), Brayden Marsh, Savannah Ambrose, and Cecilia Marsh; one great-grandchild, Lula Murdock; and several nieces and nephews.

The Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date and will be announced by the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in David's honor to ALS United of Georgia.
