David Lane Hamm

David Lane Hamm, of Cobbtown, passed away early Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.

David was born on May 22, 1960, to Ortell Hamm and Betty Jo Youmans Holland. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army, where he was stationed in Korea and at Fort Hood, Texas. During his military service, he worked as an air traffic controller.

He was of the Baptist faith and had a deep love for sports. David especially enjoyed watching football games and racing on his big screen television.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Betty Jo Youmans Holland and John Holland of Macon; and his sister, Joy Beckworth, also of Macon.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 25, at 1:00 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, 37196 Highway 23/121 North, Cobbtown, Georgia 30420. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Interment will be private.
