Denise Allen

Denise Allen, of Metter, passed away early Tuesday morning, October 27, 2026, at Southern Manor at Candler Senior Living.

Denise was born on October 5, 1965, to Robbie Dean Allen and Harriet McCoy Allen. She grew up in Metter and attended Metter First Baptist Church. A graduate of Metter High School, Denise moved to Statesboro in 1991, where she managed the Lakeside Cafeteria at Georgia Southern University. Following her retirement, she returned to Metter several years ago.

In addition to her parents, Denise was preceded in death by two of her siblings, Barbara Allen and Danny Allen.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Cheryl Allen, of Metter; her niece, Lexi Allen (Chelsey), of Goose Creek, South Carolina; and several cousins.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Anderson-Newman Funeral Homes, Kennedy-Hooks Chapel, in Metter. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service.

Interment will follow at Upper Mill Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff and friends of Southern Manor at Candler Senior Living.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Anderson-Newman Funeral Homes, Kennedy-Hooks Chapel, of Metter, is in charge of the arrangements.
