Eddie Dee McDaniel, 55, of Metter died Friday, January 31, 2014, at the Candler County Hospital. He was born in Cobbtown, the son of Robert and Hattie Lou Cooper McDaniel. A 1976 Reidsville High School graduate, he lived most of his life in the Cobbtown area. Eddie had worked in construction and was an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Leonard, Bobby and Tobe McDaniel.
Survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law, Justin and Lorne McDaniel of Metter, James and Erin McDaniel of Cobbtown; a sister, JoAnn Marsh of Winston; two brothers, Bernard McDaniel of Lyons and Joker McDaniel of Statesboro; a sister-in-law, Jane McDaniel of Lyons; two grandchildren, Taylor McDaniel of Cobbtown and Savannah McDaniel of Metter.
A Memorial service will be held 3:00 pm, Sunday, February 2, 2013, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel with Jeff Rhodes officiating. The burial will be private.
