Jerry Michael Fitzpatrick, born January 26, 1967, in Nuremberg, Germany, passed away on July 6, 2026. He was the beloved son of Jerry Minish Fitzpatrick and Toni Ann (Palmer) Fitzpatrick. Raised and baptized Catholic, Jerry spent the last decade of his life in Metter after moving from Fort Pierce, Florida.
A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Jerry dedicated much of his career to security work, including several years working with Donald Trump before his presidency. He also worked alongside his father in electrical work and was known for his reliability and commitment in every role.
Jerry is survived by his children, Braylin Meadows (Ray Meadows) and Haley Fitzpatrick (Brent McNure), as well as his niece Sara White (Nathan Bland Tucker), who was like a third child to him. He is also survived by his mother, Toni Ann (Palmer) Fitzpatrick; his aunt, Peggy Palmer; his siblings, Dorothy Fitzpatrick, Sara Youmans (Kenny Youmans), and Anthony Fitzpatrick (Tracey Fitzpatrick); his nieces and nephews, Madison Fitzpatrick, Ryan Fitzpatrick, James Harris Youmans, and Dorothy Catherine Youmans; his cherished grandchildren, Charlotte Meadows, Sara Kennedy Meadows, Pearl Meadows, and Amelia Meadows; along with numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Jerry was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, known for his love of riding and his Harley. Friends and fellow riders are invited to honor his memory by riding their motorcycles to the service. He was also a devoted dog lover, a talented cook, and enjoyed detailing cars. His warmth, humor, and generosity touched all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at Kennedy Funeral Homes in Metter, with a viewing at 1:00 PM and service at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 10, 2026. Honorary pallbearers will include Anthony Fitzpatrick, Terry Conaway, Phill Raymond, Joe Perrato, Pat Fogarty, Tim McDaniel, Billy Shepherd, and Scott Howe. Military honors will be rendered, and a flag will be presented in recognition of his service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Motorcycle Safety Fund as a meaningful tribute to Jerry’s life.
