Judith (Judy) Collins, age 90, passed away peacefully late Thursday, July 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family in Hudson, Florida.

Our hearts are broken as we say goodbye to our beautiful mom. She was held close by those she loved most in her final moments. While we grieve her loss, we are deeply grateful for the many years, treasured memories, and unconditional love she shared with us.

Born in Columbia, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Patrick, Sr. and Pauline Singletary Grant. Judy lived a life defined by kindness, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith. She and her husband, Rube Collins, made their home in the Washington, D.C., area before relocating to Florida, where they built a wonderful life together.

Throughout her life, Judy's greatest joy was caring for those she loved. She treasured the simple moments spent with family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida, where her faith remained an important part of her life.

Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rube L. Collins; her son, Barry Collins; and her daughter-in-law, Michelle Collins.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, David; her grandchildren, Kenny, Jessee, Emily, Nick, and Andrew; her great-grandchildren; and the many dear friends whose lives she touched. Her kind smile, loving heart, and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew and loved her.

Though we grieve her loss, we find comfort in the memories we shared and in the enduring legacy of love she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
