Her passions included fishing with her friends at Shellman Bluff and local river banks, growing and shucking corn from her own fields, and cheering for her beloved Georgia Bulldogs.
Of utmost importance to her was her family, in which she inculcated core values in her children, Hughes and Val, and seized every opportunity to be with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Notably, Mary was a skilled cook and always overjoyed at providing meals made with intention and care. She was a persistent fighter and bona fide perfectionist until her last days.
