Melody Lynn Smallwood Daniel

Melody Lynn Smallwood Daniel, 55, of Metter and formerly of Richmond Hill, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Azalea Health and Rehabilitation in Metter.

Melody was born in Thomaston, Georgia on August 5, 1966, and was a daughter of Donald Newton Smallwood and Lucy Elizabeth Shockley Smallwood.  Melody was an LPN who earned her associates degree at Flynt River Technical College and attended Massey College of Business in Atlanta.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandmother.

Surviving are her sons, Michael Dylan Daniel (Ivy Antonelli) of Richmond Hill and Brandon Daniel (Jessica Sharpe) of Statesboro; her mother, Lucy Elizabeth Shockley Smallwood of Dunnellon, Florida; her sister, Barbara Elizabeth Smallwood of New York, New York; her aunt and her cousin also survive.

The family will hold a service with family and friends at a later date.
