Nancy Carolyn Powell Green of Lyons and formerly of Collins, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021, in Lyons.
Nancy was born in Collins and was a daughter of Arthur Powell and Lillie Mae Wilson Powell and graduated high school from Collins High School. Nancy was a member of Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall and lived in Toombs County for many years. She was a retired Caretaker and was formerly a seamstress, having worked for Metter Manufacturing as well as working in manufacturing in Vidalia.
Surviving are her son, Joseph Green of Eastman; her sister, Bertie Jernigan (Paul) of Collins; her brothers, Tommy Powell (Nancy) of Jacksonville, Florida and Chester Powell (Pansy) of Collins; and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service will be held 3 o’clock in the afternoon, Saturday, November 6, 2021, in Lynn Cemetery.
Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, of Cobbtown is in charge of the arrangements.
