Norma Jones

Norma Jones, of Augusta, Georgia, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025. Born in Montgomery County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Willie Roy Jones and Ila Mae Denton Jones.

She grew up in Uvalda, Georgia, and has lived in the Augusta area for the past seven years.Prior to living in Augusta, Norma spent her life serving as a minister across the Southeastern United States.

She was preceded in death by her parents and younger brother, Milas Guthrie Jones (Barbara).

Surviving are her sisters, Juanette Jones Blalock and Rachel Jones Kohne, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was cared for by her nieces, Anita Averette (Dan), Evelyn Guilfoyle (Glenn), and close family friend Laura Blake. 

The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to Pruitt Healthcare of Evans and Pruitt Health Hospice for the special care that they provided.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18, from 12-1 PM at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel of Metter.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 18, beginning at 1 PM at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel of Metter.

Interment will follow in Thain Cemetery in Metter, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Pruitt Health Hospice in honor of Ms. Jones.

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
