Pam Holloway

October 25, 1946 — November 25, 2025

Metter

Mrs. Betty Moore (Pam) Holloway entered her heavenly home Tuesday, November 25, 2025, in Augusta, Georgia, surrounded by her loving family. Pam was born October 25, 1946, in Dublin, Georgia, to Eve Simmons Moore and Harold Moore, and spent her childhood and early adult years in Savannah before moving to Metter in the early 1970’s. Pam married Lamar Holloway, and they were married 64 years.

Pam is having a joyous family reunion, dancing the night away in heaven with her son, Lance Holloway, her brother and sister, Tommy Moore and Teresa Hughes, her parents, and her dear friend Susie Robinson.

At sixteen, Pam was in the original movie, Cape Fear, which cemented her admiration of Gregory Peck and Robert Mitchum and as the years passed, old movies and westerns were her go-to for entertainment.

Pam Holloway was the epitome of grace and style. Her kindness and joyful spirit (as long as she’d had her coffee) made everyone around her feel welcome and loved. She loved the finer things, especially things made of lace and fine materials. Pam’s knowledge of antiques was surpassed only by her deep love of all things old, beautiful, and full of character. A thrift store was her haven, a junkin’ trip her favorite pastime.

While her love of antiques was well-known, everyone knew Pam’s true treasure was her family. Together with Lamar, they built a beautiful legacy of love through their children, Slayde Holloway (Marsha), Stacy Holloway, and daughter-in-love, Pam McGowan Holloway; grandchildren, Kaci Holloway Swygert (Trent), Houston Holloway (Courtney), Dylan Holloway (Coty), Cody McCranie (Fallon), Gatlin Holloway, Hannah Holloway Thompson (J.C.), Jacy McCranie Carver (Ethan), and River Holloway; great-grandchildren, Grace Elaine Swygert, Lizzie Bell Swygert, Clay Holloway, Grady Holloway, Rebekah Swygert, Sawyer Kate Holloway, Weston Thompson, Douglas McCranie, Tate Thompson, and Millie Carver, great-great granddaughter, Bella Grace. Pam is also lovingly survived by her sister-in-love, Esther Moore, brother-in-love Richard Hughes, brother-in-love and sister-in-love, Billy and Linda Holloway, and sister-in-love, Brenda Starling; her best friend and double first cousin, Jennie Saunders (Dale), and her treasured nieces and nephews. They brought so much joy to her life.

Pam’s faith in God was strong, and she prayed daily for her family and friends. She knew she was going to heaven and she trusted the Lord with her life. She was a proud member of Grace Community Church where her family has anchored the back rows for many years.
