Rex Andy Martin

Rex Andy Martin, of Metter, passed away early Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Azalea Health and Rehabilitation in Metter.

Mr. Martin was born in Cobbtown and was a son of Mack Phillip Martin and Edna Pearl Miles Martin.  He lived in Florida for many years and while there worked as a welder for the Palatka Ship Yard for many years.   He returned to the Metter in area in the late 1980’s and was a member of  Pulaski Baptist Church.

Surviving are his son, Rex Allen Martin of Metter; a sister, Janice Martin DeLoach (LH) of Claxton; a grandchild, Gage Austin Martin of Milledgeville; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 16, 2024, from 3 until 5 o’clock in the afternoon at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.
