Tony Collins

Tony Howell Collins, of Metter, passed away late Sunday night, October 4, 2026, under the care of his family and Dignity Hospice.

Tony was born on October 24, 1968, and was the son of Marjorie Dianne Harden Collins and William D. “Bill” Collins. He was a member of Cedar Street Baptist Church in Metter and, in recent years, attended Trinity Baptist Church.

Tony loved spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Sophia. He was a hard worker who genuinely loved people and took great pride in his work. He also enjoyed listening to Christian music.

Tony was preceded in death by his father, William D. “Bill” Collins.

He is survived by his mother, Marjorie Dianne Harden Collins of Brooklet; his sister, Tennille Hendley (Travis) of Brooklet; his brother, Troy Estas Collins (Serina) of Metter; two nieces, Gabrielle Durden and Charity Beneteau; one nephew, Austin Hendley; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held privately at a later date.

Anderson-Newman Funeral Homes, Kennedy-Hooks Chapel of Metter, is in charge of the arrangements.
