Annie Will Watson Obituary

Annie Will Watson, 102, of Metter, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2020 under Ogeechee Area Hospice. She was the daughter of L.C. Anderson and Murtie Brinson Anderson. She was a member of the Metter United Methodist Church. Mrs. Watson and her husband, Jack Watson, owned and operated Watson’s Grocery in Metter.  She loved gardening, needlework, traveling and was an avid reader. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Watson; a daughter, Becky Outlaw; sisters, Clementine Calhoun and Betty Brinson McCorkle Tucker.

Surviving are her son-in-law; Jim Outlaw, two grandsons, Josh Tucker of Shellman Buff and Charles Tucker of Metter; two granddaughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Randy Hendrix of Metter, LeAnne and Jeff Hale of Watkinsville. She had nine great-grandchildren, Blake Hendrix (Brittany), Rand Hendrix (Jessica), Lindy Chester (Ches), Brooke Sumner, Bland Tucker, Abigail Tucker, Finn Tucker, Annalise Hale and Jack Hale; and six great-great grandchildren; one niece Christy McNeill (Tony); two nephews, Bert Calhoun (Dianne) and Stacy McCorkle (Michelle).

A graveside service will be held 11 o’clock in the morning, Monday, August 24, 2020 in Lake Cemetery.   The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
