Charles F. Boyer

Charles F. Boyer, 67, of Metter and Callawassie Island, South Carolina and husband of Anita Atchison Boyer, died early Friday, July 23, 2021, at Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta.

Born in Mount Clemens, Michigan, he was a son of Frederick Boyer and Lorraine Goieke Boyer.  He moved to Metter in 2013 with his wife Anita and was of the Baptist faith. Charles received his Management Degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and he received a B.S. in Pharmacy from Ferris State University and was the valedictorian of his pharmacy class.  He received the Tau Kappa Epsilon Award as an outstanding pharmacy scholar.  Charles worked in the field of Pharmacy for over forty years.  He retired from the Department of Veteran Affairs as the Southeast Clinical Informatics Project Coordinator.  Recently he worked as a Senior Clinical Applications Coordinator Pharmacy ADPAC for DSS, a health information software development company.  Charles loved Golf and “Do It Yourself” shows.  He enjoyed watching nature and loved to travel on yearly cruises and traveling to the mountains and the beach. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Christine Guerrero.

Surviving are his wife, Anita Atchison Boyer of Metter; his brother, Craig Boyer of Dallas, Texas; and a sister, Cherie Boyer of Napa, Idaho.

The graveside service will be held 11 o'clock in the morning on Monday, July 26, 2021 in Glenwood City Cemetery in Glenwood, Georgia with Elder Mike Newman officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery on Monday.
