Christine Dowd Grice

Christine Dowd Grice, 98, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Community Hospice in Vidalia, GA. 

She was the daughter of William T. and Bessie Hall.  She worked at EMC of Metter for over 28 years before retiring.  She was very a active member of the New Life Baptist Church. She taught Sunday school up unto the last few years. She loved to sing, make cards for everyone, and loved spending time with her family and friends.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Ernest Paul Dowd, Sr; her second husband, William Otis Grice; sons, Paul and David Dowd; daughter, Patsy Dowd; brothers, William T. Hall, Jr. and Dan Hall; sister, Elsie Hall Brooks.

Surviving are her daughters; Ernestine Parsons (David), Terri Dowd Bell (John M); grandchildren, Paula Amesbury (Thomas), Pamela Vanblarcom (Joseph), Brandon Bell (Amanda), Justin Bell (Tori) and Courtney Bell Watson (Jamey); nine great grandchildren; seven great- great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 1-2 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church.

The funeral will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 2 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church with Brother Bill Vansant officiating.

Interment will be at Lake Cemetery. 

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, is in charge of the arrangement.
