Corbin Butler, III Obituary

Corbin Marion Butler, III, 49, of New Port Richey, Florida and formerly of Metter, died Saturday, January 18, 2020 in Hudson, Florida.

Corbin was born in Savannah and lived in Metter for several years.  He was a 1989 graduate of Metter High School and was of the Baptist faith.  Corbin earned his bachelors in accounting from Georgia Southern University and worked as an accountant in the Atlanta area for several years. In recent years, he earned his degree in nursing from Mercer University and was a Registered Nurse working in the New Port Richey, Florida area.  Corbin loved his work, loved the beach, loved travelling and loved his family.  He was preceded in death by two sisters, Susan Renee Butler and Donna Thompson.

Surviving are his mother and step-father, Sheryl and Denny Thompson of Metter; his father, Corbin Marion Butler, Jr. of Savannah; a daughter, Elisa Butler of Woodstock, Georgia; his son, Corbin M. “Buddy” Butler, IV of Reddington Beach, Florida; his sister and brother-in-law, Sherrie and Dustin Durden of Metter; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Cedar Street Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 until 12noon Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Cedar Street Baptist Church.

Interment will be in Lake Cemetery.

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel of Metter is in charge of the arrangements.
