Obituary

Dr. David Wayne Holloway, of Bluffton, South Carolina, and formerly of Metter, passed away on Friday April 7, 2023.

Dr. Holloway was born in Augusta, Georgia on August 29, 1956, and was a son of Dr. Foster Harold Holloway and Mattie “Jerri” Inez Blackwell Holloway.  He was a Doctor of Dental Medicine and was a dentist for many years.  He was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in the yard.  Dr. Holloway loved spending time on the family farm in Metter.  He loved bragging about his kids to anyone who would listen and he loved living life with his wife.

Surviving are his wife, Sandy Holloway; his children, Foster Holloway, Dylan Holloway, and Hannah Holloway; his sister, Debra Manning and her husband, Dennis; a niece, Emily Manning; a nephew, Tyler Manning; and his first cousins, Gloria Cantrell, Jean Zunkel, Anne Townsend, Gay Martin, Strick Holloway, Jr., Pamela Hodges, and Timmy Holloway.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3 o’clock in the afternoon at the funeral home on Wednesday.

Interment will be in Primitive Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
