Eunice Ann Sewel Collins Obituary

Eunice Ann Sewell Collins, 91, of Cobbtown, died Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the residence of her daughter in Lyons.

Mrs. Collins was born in Cobbtown where she lived all of her life before moving to Lyons in 2005.  She was a member of Cobbtown United Methodist Church and was active in many of the church groups and functions over the years.  She was a fantastic homemaker, kept small children in her home, and loved to cook and clean.  Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband E. J. Collins and her siblings, including Roger Carter, Vondell Blaxton, Truman Sewell, Aaron Sewell, Louise Conner, and Merle Sikes.

Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Joyce Bishop Williams of Lyons and JoAnn and Steve Phillips of Jacksonville, Florida; a sister, Marion Davis of Jacksonville, Florida; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with the recommendations of the CDC, federal, state, and local requirements, a private family graveside service will be held at 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, March 28, 2020 in Sunlight Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cobbtown United Methodist Church, 221 Church Street, Cobbtown, Georgia 30420.

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, of Cobbtown is in charge of the arrangements.
