Frankie Nell Phillips McMillan

Frankie Nell Phillips McMillan, 82, of Metter, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023, at Augusta University Medical Center.

Mrs. McMillan was born in Tattnall County and was a daughter of Graham and Bonnie Phillips.  She was a member of Mt. Shady Primitive Baptist Church.  Mrs. McMillan worked in the textile industry as a supervisor and plant manager and over the years worked for Metter Manufacturing, Twin City Manufacturing, and Ithaca Manufacturing in Swainsboro.  After retirement, she enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her husband and family.  She was an avid Georgia Bulldog football fan.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul Phillips and Jimmy Phillips, and a sister, Johnnie Conner.

Surviving are her husband, Charles E. McMillan of Metter; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and LaSonya McMillan and Randy and Marsha McMillan all of Metter; four grandchildren, Brian (Leslie) McMillan, Chandler McMillan, Colton McMillan, and Brandon McMillan; a great granddaughter, Savannah McMillan; her siblings, Wylie (Lecretia) Phillips of Callahan, Florida, Patricia (Danny) Brown of Cobbtown, and Billy (Billie) Phillips of Cobbtown; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 o’clock in the evening on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.

The funeral service will be held 11 o’clock in the morning on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.

Interment will be in Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jay Phillips, Heath Brown, Rusty Phillips, Peyton Collins, Michael Lynn, and John West.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Sandy Phillips and Nicholas Phillips.

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter is in charge of the arrangements.
