Nancy Beasley Crosby, 73, of Metter, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loved ones.
Nancy was born in Metter and lived in Metter all of her life. She was a daughter of Floyd Beasley and Eloise Reardon Beasley. Nancy was a founding member of Faith Ministries Freewill Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School for several different age groups throughout the years. She was a retired substitute teacher having worked for many years with Candler County School System and in later years in Toombs County. Nancy had a sweet spirit and was loved by her students, friends and all who knew her. She loved caring for people and was a care provider in the Metter community having taken care of and sitting with many who needed assistance over the years. Nancy loved sports, cross stitching, and sewing. She loved spending time with her family and walking her dog, Little Bit, around town. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a son, Rusty Beasley; two brothers, James Floyd Beasley and Charles E. Beasley; and a sister-in-law, Faye Beasley.
Surviving are her son, Travis Crosby (Lenna) of Davisboro, Georgia; two brothers, Johnny Beasley and Mike Beasley (Brenda) all of Metter; two sisters-in-law, Brenda Beasley and Francis Beasley of Metter; her grandchildren, Savannah and Taylor; her great-grandson, Hunter; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock in the evening on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.
The funeral service will be at 12 o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.
Interment will follow at Lake Cemetery.
