Ronald Wayne Grimes Obituary

Ronald Wayne Grimes, II, 51, of Cumming, Georgia and formerly of Emanuel County, died Monday, September 13, 2021, at Northside Hospital in Cumming, Georgia.

Ronald was born in Swainsboro on December 18, 1969 and was a son of Ronald Wayne Grimes and Brenda Hayslip Grimes Sheldon.  He was a 1988 graduate of ECI in Twin City and was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in Desert Storm as a Seabee.  He was an IT Tech and worked at AutomationDirect in Cumming.  Ronald was a 3rd Degree Mason and a member of Oriental Masonic Lodge F&AM #20.  He loved to play golf and loved the Georgia Bulldogs and Ronald enjoyed comic books, computer games and riding motorcycles, especially his Harley.  He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Wayne Grimes and his dog, Violet.

Surviving are his mother and step-father, Brenda Hayslip Grimes Sheldon and John Sheldon of Metter; his partner in life, Jennifer Biles Mallett of Cumming; his sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Joey Pittman of Metter; his brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Jenny Grimes of Metter; Isabella Intidam of Cumming who was like a daughter to him; Robynne Intidam of Cumming  who was like a granddaughter to him; his step-mother, Kathy Jordan of Twin City; and his nieces and nephews, Roslyn Pittman, Joseph Pittman, Gracie Grimes, and Agatha Grimes.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at the home of Pam and Joey Pittman, 85 Par Road in Metter.

The graveside service will be held Friday at 5 o’clock in the afternoon in Old Canoochee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery located on Highway 80, west of Twin City, with Elder Mike Gray Officiating.

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter is in charge of the arrangements.
