Obituary

Sara Keown Harper, of Cobbtown and wife of Arthur “Joe” Harper, Sr., passed away Monday, July 31, 2023, at Community Hospice.

Mrs. Harper was born in Atlanta, Georgia and was a daughter of Eulus Keown and Louise Booth Keown.  She was a member of Cobbtown Methodist Church and was a homemaker.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harper was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Harper.

Surviving are her husband, Arthur “Joe” Harper, Sr.; her son, Arthur “Doc” Harper, Jr.; a grandson, Aaron Harper; her brother, Jeff; her sisters, Julie, Melva, and Fay; and several nieces and nephews.

The graveside service will be held at 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, August 5, 2023, in Sunlight Cemetery in Cobbtown.  The family will visit with friends following the service at the graveside on Saturday.

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
