Scherril Diane Allen

Scherril Diane Allen, 71, of Metter died late Friday, December 10, 2021 at Augusta University Medical Center.

Born in Appling County, Scherill was a daughter of Eugene Allen and Nathenia Day Allen.  She worked for Candler County Hospital for many years and later retired from Eagle Health and Rehabilitation in Statesboro. Scherril was a member of Inspirational Baptist Church in Aline. She loved to read, rescue animals, flowers and family and she loved sitting on the front porch.

Surviving are her three daughters, Cynthia Smith (Chris), Sherry Moody, and Jerni Irvin all of Metter; her brothers, Horris Allen (Sheron), Bobby Ray Allen (Gail) and Joe A. Allen (JoAnn); her sisters, Mary Juanita Googe (Junior), Bobbie Dismuke, and Kitty Joyce Aldrich;  grandchildren, John David Bullard (Kayla), Andrew Jacob Bullard (Brittany), Ariel Marysa Howard, Cody O’Neal Moody, Timothy Jason Howard (Amanda), Vincent O’Neal Moody (Lyanna), Stephanie Suzanne Howard (Mason Pyles) and Kirsten Clark (Rob); ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; her beloved fur babies, Shadow, Chloe, Yoda, Marley, Copper, BoBo, Lucky, Little Girl, Tiger and Rocky.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 until 9 o’clock in the evening on December 14, 2021, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.

The funeral service will be held 2 o’clock Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.

Interment will be in Lake Cemetery.
