Sharon Jean Collins Lively

Sharon Jean Collins Lively, 73, of Collins and wife of Morris Lively, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 6, 2021, surrounded by her family.

Born in Collins, she was a daughter of Leavy Collins and Irma Jean Sikes Collins.  She was a 1966 graduate of Collins High School.  Mrs. Lively was a homemaker and a farmer and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church of Collins.  She loved working crossword and wordsearch puzzles, loved spending time with her family, and loved Elvis.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lively was preceded in death by a daughter, Christie Lively, a sister, Barbara Hackle, and a brother, George Collins.

Surviving are her husband of fifty-five years, Morris Lively of Collins; her son, Morris Lively, Jr. (Nikki) of Collins; her daughter, Jeanne Lively of Collins; four brothers, Wayne  Collins of Jefferson, RD Collins (Joan) of Lyons, Mike Collins of McRae, and Stacy Collins (Darcie) of Odum; her sister, Vickie Gaffney of Lyons; several nieces and nephews including her special great niece, Roxanne Bland (Colt) of Glennville and her special great-great nephew, Chase Bland of Glennville; her adopted granddaughter, Jesi Lanier of Collins; her aunts, Frances Beasley and Brenda Beasley both of Metter; and her uncle, Ronnie Sikes of Metter.

Visitation will be held from 10 until 10:45 a.m. in the morning, Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel.

The graveside service will be held 11 o’clock in the morning, Thursday, September 9, 2021, in Sunlight Cemetery in Cobbtown.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Lively, Ottie Lively, Jr., Randall Collins, Jordy Rhiner, Randy Rhiner, and Tyler Kirkland.

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
