Sydney Green Williams, 95, of Cobbtown, died Tuesday morning, July 28, 2020 at The Oaks at Bethany in Vidalia.
Born in Tattnall County, she was a daughter of Willie Green and Alice Durrence Green. Mrs. Williams was a member of Cobbtown United Methodist Church and was a homemaker and a seamstress. She lived most of her life in Tattnall County and was an instructor with Tattnall-Evans Training Center having retired in 1987. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Williams and a daughter, Shirley Williams Sikes.
Surviving are her sons, Al Williams of Cobbtown and Grady Williams of Cobbtown; her sisters, Dorothy Collins of Collins and Willie Mae Mills of Cobbtown; grandchildren, Michelle and Ray Krauss, Darla and Michael Burkette, Angela Belding, Casey Smith and Kim Johnson, Heather Williams, and Trinity Williams; 10 great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 29th, from 6-8 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel.
The funeral will be Thursday, July 30th, at 10 am at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel.
Interment will be in Connors Baptist Church Cemetery.
