Timothy "Chris" Padgett

Timothy “Chris” Padgett, 52, of Cobbtown, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at his residence.

Chris was born in Metter and lived in Cobbtown all of his life.  He graduated from Reidsville High School in 1989. Chris worked for Wal-Mart Distribution Center operating a fork lift.  He was a member of Cobbtown Baptist Church and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

Surviving are his parents, Grady and Margie Padgett of Cobbtown; his children, Courtney Padgett (Cody Stewart) of Claxton and Ash Padgett of Vidalia; also surviving are Tracy Padgett of Vidalia; two brothers, Jeff (Carol) Padgett of Metter and Clay (Michelle) Padgett of Vidalia; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The memorial service will be held Monday at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Cobbtown Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Moore officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 o’clock at the church on Monday.
