Erma Jean Miles Hadden, 84, (12/26/1932) of Metter, passed away late Saturday, April 29, 2017 at The Home Place in Louisville, GA.

Born in Metter, Mrs. Hadden was the daughter of Jeff and Louise Doyle Miles.  She was a retired employee of the Candler County Board of Education and a homemaker.  Mrs. Hadden was a charter member of Cedar Street Baptist Church in Metter, GA. She was a Sunday School Teacher for over thirty-five years, director of the Women’s’ Missionary Union, and various committees.   She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and loved spending time with her family.  Mrs. Hadden enjoyed gardening and sewing.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, J.T. Miles, Franklin Miles, and Jimmy Miles.

Surviving are her friend and father of her children Eugene Talmadge Hadden; two sons, Talmadge Coleman Hadden (Maise) of Eatonton, Larry Miles Hadden (Dianne) of Metter; four daughters, Patricia “Pat”  Hadden Flynt (deceased spouse, James R. Flynt) of Metter, Mary Louise Hadden Spradley, (Kenny) of Cochran,  Debra Joy Hadden (Annette Unden) of Hull, and Jennifer Hadden Tanner (Don) of Louisville; thirteen grandchildren, Shane M. Hadden, Amanda Hadden Holmes, Ryan A. Hadden, Robyn Green Tippins, Talette Tompkins Tootle, Charity Flynt Lowe, Mitchell R. Bond, Mitzi Bond Helms, William Presswood, Nathan Presswood, Jeramy Williams, Jericho Williams, and Kyle Spradley; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 1, 2017 from 6 until 8 o’clock at Cedar Street Baptist Church in Metter.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 3 o’clock at Cedar Street Baptist Church in Metter.

Burial will follow in Lake Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Shane M. Hadden, Ryan A. Hadden, Mitchell Bond, Rev. James Tippins, David Helms, and R. Ryan Holmes.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Wilcox, Ellis Tubbs, Wayne Carter, Deacons of Cedar Street Baptist Church, and the Mary Sunday School Class of Cedar Street Baptist Church.
